If we allow a game to develop over a longer period of time, a lot of interesting possibilities open up for us as devs to live more balanced lives, harness the power and talent of an organically-grown community, and pull off much more ambitious projects. Dan will talk about his experience (accidentally) doing this during his 13-year career, and the lessons learnt on how to avoid getting bored of/burnt out on your project, managing expectations of your community, and to build a talented team from around the globe to help realize your vision.
