I run a mobile gaming company. At ChopUp, we develop entertainment content primarily for an African audience. Mobile is the most pervasive tech media in Africa and games are quite popular. However, culturally relevant game content is in short supply. Our objective is to create game-based experiences that are relatable for our target audience. We truly believe that games are a powerful means of interactive communication and we are exploring opportunities for applying gaming concepts and technology to address some of Africa’s challenges, specifically in the field of education.
